I am wearing shorts with embroidered anchors on them and a blue and white striped shirt and boat shoes and if you just tied a little handkerchief around my neck this would probably be a really adorable outfit for a toddler.

What a day
I sliced my thumb pretty bad while cleaning my mandoline this morning. It was a Christmas gift and the first time I’ve used it, but I’ve now thrown it away. Just a warning: don’t bother with plastic mandolines. I’m sure the good ones are much safer, but I probably won’t try it again for a long time.

I need a bike helmet
I don’t know anything about bikes, but New York is getting its own city-wide bike share program within a month or so, and I’m not going to be one of those psychotic hipsters riding around without a helmet. So I need to buy one, but have no idea where/how to shop for one. Help please? ETA: Looking for specific helmets that you like and think are cute.
